TRAMA DEL FILM Child 44 - Il bambino numero 44:
In Bambino 44, Tom Hardy, protagonista della pellicola ambientata nella Russia Sovietica del 1953, interpreta Leo Demidov, una delle migliori menti dei servizi segreti sovietici, un "eroe in patria", alla ricerca di un serial killer di bambini. L'ostruzionismo del regime però non renderà semplice le sue indagini, rifiutando l'esistenza di un assassino seriale sul territorio comunista, "risanato" da ogni male e da ogni crudeltà capitalista. Demidov, accusato di tradimento dal collega rivale Vasili - Joel Kinnaman - dopo aver rifiutato di denunciare la moglie Raisa - Noomi Rapace-, perderà il suo ruolo, il suo potere e la sua casa, costretto all’esilio da Mosca a uno squallido avamposto provinciale. Leo e Raisa non si daranno per vinti e, nonostante le pressioni del regime e con l'aiuto del Generale Mikhail Nesterov - Gary Oldman- continueranno le ricerche per scovare l'aberrante mostro e per ribaltare l'idea che "Non esistono omicidi in Paradiso".
